In short
- The game never asks for a real name, e-mail address or phone number.
- The name your child types in the game stays on the device and is never sent to us.
- The Best times list shows only a generated nickname, a colour and a score.
- No ads, no purchases, no third-party trackers and no cookies.
- The “Delete my data” button in Settings deletes the account and every score from our servers.
Who we are
“Riyadh Chase” is a mobile game for children made by [Developer name] (“we”). We are responsible for the personal data processed by the game and this website.
For any privacy question: our support page or [support e-mail].
We aim to comply with Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its Implementing Regulation, issued by the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA): we collect as little data as possible, and only for a clear purpose.
What stays on your device only
- Your child’s name, typed on first launch (default “Champ”), used only in cheers and on the lose screen.
- Settings (language, controls, sound, haptics) and the best score.
- Scores and events waiting for an internet connection.
We never receive this data. It is removed when the game is deleted from the device.
What we collect and why
The first time the game goes online it creates an anonymous player account for the Best times list. None of this data contains a real name, e-mail address or location.
| Data | Why we need it | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|
| A random player ID and a secret token | So the server can recognise your anonymous account without a name or e-mail. We store only a cryptographic hash of the token; the token itself stays on your device. | Until you delete it, or automatically 12 months after last use |
| The generated nickname and colour | To show them in the Best times list. The nickname is stored as numbers pointing to words in a fixed list, never as text a child typed. | Until you delete it, or automatically 12 months after last use |
| Language (Arabic/English), platform (iOS/Android/web), created and last-seen times | To show the Best times list in your language and to spot unused accounts. | Until you delete it, or automatically 12 months after last use |
| Scores: survival time, coins, map name, a random run ID, app version and time of the run | To rank the Best times list (today, this week, all time) and to stop cheating and duplicate scores. | Until you delete it, or automatically 12 months after last use |
| Anonymous usage events: app opened, game started, game over (time, coins, number of police cars), setting changed, Best times viewed, tutorial finished; with app version, platform and language | To learn what needs improving. They carry no player or device identifier, so they cannot be linked to anyone. | Aggregated statistics |
| Support messages from this website: your message, your e-mail if you give it (optional), language and time sent | Only to answer you. | 12 months, then deleted automatically |
What we never collect
- Real name, e-mail, phone number, address, date of birth or photos.
- Location, contacts, microphone or camera.
- The advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID) or any permanent device identifier, which is why the game never asks for tracking permission.
- Any free text typed by a child in the game.
IP addresses and technical data
Our servers run on Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare receives your device’s IP address transiently to deliver the service, protect it from attacks and limit request rates. We do not store IP addresses in our database or link them to a player account. Cloudflare may keep short-lived security logs under its own policy.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no trackers. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits; it uses no cookies and does not identify visitors.
Legal basis
We process the player account and scores to provide the Best times list you ask for, with a parent’s or guardian’s consent where required, and we process support messages because you asked us to reply. Anonymous events contain nothing that identifies anyone.
Who we share data with
- The public: the Best times list shows only the nickname, colour, time, coins and rank.
- Cloudflare: our hosting and database provider, processing data on our behalf to run the service.
- Authorities: only when required by law or a court order.
We never sell or rent data, and we never use it for advertising.
Processing outside Saudi Arabia
Our servers and database are run by Cloudflare, outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and requests travel through its global network. So the data listed above is stored and processed outside the Kingdom, for one purpose only, providing the service to you, and we keep it to a minimum.
Deleting data and retention
- In the game: Settings → “Delete my data” (after a maths question for parents). The account and every score are deleted from the server straight away, and the nickname disappears from Best times.
- By deleting the app: data on the device is removed. The anonymous account on the server is deleted automatically 12 months after it was last used.
- On this website: through the data deletion request page, if the game is no longer on the device. Because accounts are anonymous, we need the nickname shown in the game to find it.
Your rights
You have the right to know how we process your data, to access it and get a copy, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and to withdraw your consent. A parent or guardian exercises these rights for their child. Contact us and we will answer within the period the law requires.
Children’s privacy
The game is made for children, so it is designed to work without any data that reveals who a child is:
- Public names are generated from fixed word lists; free text cannot be entered.
- There is no chat and no messaging between players.
- External links (like this page) sit behind a maths question for parents.
- No ads, no purchases and no third-party tools in the game.
If you are a parent and think your child sent us personal information in a support message, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Connections are always encrypted (HTTPS), the account’s secret token is stored only as a hash, request rates are limited to prevent abuse, and we collect very little data in the first place.
Complaints
If you have a concern about your privacy, please contact us first and we will work to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA).
Changes to this policy
If we change anything important, we will update the effective date at the top, describe the change here, and let you know in the game when needed.
